Sean and Haley’s October wedding at Silvertip Resort was the perfect celebration of everything I love about fall weddings in the Canadian Rockies. Surrounded by golden grasses, crisp mountain air, and sweeping views of Canmore’s iconic peaks, they were treated to one of those rare autumn days where everything comes together beautifully.
We started the day with each wedding party getting ready separately. I especially loved that both Haley and Sean included their parents and family members in this part of the day. It created so many meaningful moments and some incredibly emotional first looks.
From there, we headed to Spring Creek in Canmore for their first look. The excitement leading up to this moment was electric. It quickly turned into happy tears when Sean finally got to see Haley for the first time, and afterwards we spent some time exploring the area for portraits together.
With only a light dusting of snow visible high in the mountains, the landscape still held all the warmth and colour of fall. The weather was absolutely perfect, which made for phenomenal wedding party photos at Quarry Lake Park.
Nestled above the town of Canmore, Silvertip Resort offers some of the most spectacular mountain views in Alberta. The venue combines luxury, elegance, and natural beauty, making it a favourite location for couples dreaming of a Rocky Mountain wedding. The outdoor patio was the perfect setting for Haley and Sean’s ceremony, where guests were welcomed with warm blankets and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
One of the standout details from Sean and Haley’s wedding day was the incredible floral design by Calyx Floral Design. The arrangements perfectly complemented the autumn landscape, incorporating rich seasonal colours while maintaining an elegant and timeless feel. From Haley’s bouquet to the reception décor, every floral element helped bring the overall vision of the day together beautifully.
A wedding day runs best when everyone can simply be present and enjoy it, and that was exactly the experience Sean and Haley had thanks to Caroline from Day of Diva. From the morning preparations through the evening celebrations, Caroline kept the day flowing smoothly and on schedule while ensuring every detail was thoughtfully executed. Her calm presence allowed the couple and their families to fully enjoy each moment without ever feeling rushed.
Following the ceremony, we explored some of Canmore’s stunning mountain viewpoints for portraits. The combination of soft October light and dramatic Rocky Mountain backdrops created an unforgettable setting for their photographs. The reflection portraits with the Three Sisters in the background became some of my favourite images from the entire day and perfectly captured the beauty of fall in Canmore.
The night wouldn’t have been complete without an absolutely packed dance floor. Guests filled the room from the moment the music started, and Revolution Entertainment Company kept the energy high all evening long. It was such a fun way to celebrate the end of an incredible day.
If you’re planning a wedding at Silvertip Resort, or anywhere in Canmore, Banff, or the Canadian Rockies, I’d love to help document your day with timeless, romantic imagery that feels authentic to you.
